Williams, Mozell
Mozell Williams, 65, of Baltimore, Md., formerly of Arlington, died Feb. 26, 2010, at Springwell Senior Living in Baltimore. Memorial services will be 7 p.m. Friday, March 5, at New Song Community Learning Center in Baltimore.
Survivors include his children, Jose Arteaga, Mozella Williams and Irene Williams; and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Born the youngest of seven children on Nov. 16, 1944. in Memphis, Tenn., he graduated from Rosenwald High School in Osceola, Ark. He was in active service in the U.S. Army from 1965-67 before joining the Federal Aviation Administration as a radar technician, working in rural northeast Iowa until retirement. He will be remembered for his love of the fine arts, Iowa landscapes, and almost any science fiction novel, and cherished for his generosity of time and possessions.
The family wishes to thank all those who have reached out to us during this difficult time. He treasured his life in Iowa and the deep community ties made here.
