William David Wright (Bill), 88, died at home after a long, wonderful life. He was born on August 11, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa to Dr. Doyce and Veva Wright. Bill grew up in Adel, Iowa. Bill and his wife Joan lived in Marion for many years, and then moved to Swisher in 1979. They operated Wright Appliance Service out of their home for nearly 30 years. In 2017, Bill and Joan moved to the addition they had built onto their daughter’s home in Des Moines. Bill’s lifelong passion was to share the good news of Jesus’ salvation with others.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Maranatha Baptist Church in Grimes with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place in the Oakdale Cemetery in Adel. Condolences may be expressed at www.caldwellparrish.com.
