WILLIAM J. TENLEY

William J. Tenley, 64, of Stanwood, died Nov. 22, 2016, at UnityPoint Health-St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, at Chapman Funeral Home in Clarence. There will be no funeral service. Burial will be at a later date.
Born Jan. 23, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, he was the son of James and Elizabeth "Betty" (Johnston) Tenley. He married Darcie Hormann on Oct. 16, 1971, in Clarence.
Bill worked in auto parts sales all of his life. He had a great sense of humor, along with a passion for historic guns. He loved his grandchildren dearly, along with camping and being around the water.
Bill is survived by his wife, Darcie of Anamosa; sons, Bob (Katherine) of Dallas and Brian (Jodi) of Morley; daughter, Becky (Anthony) Bardgett of Manchester; father, James Tenley of Stanwood; 10 grandchildren; and a brother, Scott (Carlene) Tenley of Olin.
He was preceded in death by his mother and a brother, Greg.
