WILLIAM SPRINGER
Marion
William F. Springer, 69, of Marion, died Monday, May 26, 2014, at his home. Per his wishes, there will be no services held at this time. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca; two sons, Nicholas Springer of Marion and Quince (Sarah) Springer of Des Moines; and sister, Pat (Roger) Kruse of Homer, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
William was born Sept. 1, 1944, in Grundy Center, the son of Harlen and Audrey (Connerley) Springer. He earned his BA from the University of Northern Iowa and was warehouse superintendent for Metropolitan School Supplies and worked in shipping and receiving at Stamats in Cedar Rapids. William married Rebecca Siebels on Sept. 22, 1973, in Elk Point, S.D. He was a loyal Cubs fan.
