WILLIAM L. RESEWEHR
Clarence
William L. Resewehr, 91, of Clarence, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at St. John's United Church of Christ in Clarence with the Rev. Matt Schneider-Adams officiating. Burial will follow at the St. John's Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
Bill was born Feb. 9, 1926, to Leo and Lena (Portewig) Resewehr, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He married Janice Muesing on Nov. 18, 1956, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.
Bill was a member of St. John's UCC, Clarence Legion Post 286 and served with the Army in the Korean War. He also enjoyed bowling leagues, playing cards and was an avid farmer.
He is survived by his wife, Janice; sons, Kerry of Cedar Falls, Kirk (Kathy) of Katy, Texas, and Kevin (Tracie) of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jarrett and Jason Resewehr; and sister, Carol (Bob) Naylor of Stoughton, Wis.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Kelly Jo; and sister, Darlene.
