William "Bill" Kurtz, 79, died Thursday, June 4, 2015, at Buchanan County Health Center in Inde-pendence. Graveside services: 11 a.m. Monday, June 8, at Fremont Township Cemetery, Winthrop. Friends may call from 1 until 4 p.m. Sunday, June 7, at Fawcett Funeral Home in Winthrop.
Survivors include his companion, Mary Lehmann of Winthrop; daughter, Kenda Thompson of Marion; sister, Harriett Griswold of Winthrop; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
