William J. Heinemann (Bill) passed away on Thursday, May 15, 2025, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, surrounded by his loving family.
Bill was born on November 2, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa to John and Ann (Bjornas) Heinemann. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Diana, whom he married April 15, 1989 in Cedar Rapids; children, Liddie (Phil) Ribble, Eric Heinemann, Dan (Lisa) Lamb and Chris (Eric) Lamb, his sister Barb (John) Hill and brother-in-law, Randy Ryan. His greatest pleasure was being a grandfather to Charles, Brady, Jack, Katie, Layney and Ethan.
Our family would like to invite friends, family and former co-workers to his Celebration of Life on Wednesday, July 23 between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. It will be held at Hunters Ridge Golf Clubhouse, 2901 Hunters Ridge Road, Marion, Iowa. This will be a time to share memories and stories that bring smiles to all who are remembering him and enjoying a toast to a life well lived. Per Bill’s wishes this is a casual event so golf and Hawk attire are acceptable.
Online condolences may be directed to the family at cedarmemorial.com under Obituaries.
