WILLIAM DEAN EVERTS

William Dean Everts, 79, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday afternoon July 18, 2018. He died from a long-term illness.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Angie M., 1905-1980, and his dad, Clarence W., 1903-91.
Survivors include brothers, Chuck Everts and James Everts, and sister, Eileen Stotz, all in Palo.
Bill's kids are Mike Everts, Mark Everts and Chad Everts. His nieces are Sherri Slife and Joanne Evans.
He did construction for a couple years then he did side work. He also was a truck driver and continued helping people.
Ken Miller was an Army buddy who knew Bill when they were younger. Phil Bemer is Bill's best friend. They talked every day and night and they hung out
together and Bill helped him out. He dated Rita Cejka for 29 years and lived with her and her family. In 2003, he moved into the Barb Dittmar home. He met Susan Molyneux, too. He had known Tammy Cejka since she was in foster care since she was 13 years old.
He liked to play bingo with Rita and go to Meskwaki Casino. He also enjoyed fishing.
