William Fredrick Eaton, 50, of Pearl City, Ill., passed away Friday, March 28, 2014, in his home.
He was born Feb. 13, 1964, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, the son of William and Lorna (Douglas) Eaton. He was a graduate of Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. He married Laura Bickel on Sept. 8, 1990, in Martelle, Iowa.
He was employed at Honeywell as a manufacturing engineer. William was a member of the United Methodist Church in Pearl City, active in Boy Scouts, Village Trustee, Venturing Crew and the Pearl City Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Laura; son, Aaron; mother, Lorna Douglas Eaton; brother, Michael (Kathy) Eaton; sister, Susan (Michael) Schlumbohm; in-laws, Clifford (Judy) Bickel; brothers-in-law, Stan Bickel, Randy (Deb) Bicke and Mike Bickel; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
William was preceded by his father.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 2, at the United Methodist Church in Pearl City, with the Rev. Brian LeBaron officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 1, at the church. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Pearl City.
A memorial has been established in his memory.
Arrangements are being handled by the Offenheiser-Schwarz Funeral Home.
