A funeral service for William Douglas "Doug" Rodes, 93, of Fayetteville, Tenn., was conducted Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017, at Higgins Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial followed in Old Orchard Cemetery, Petersburg, Tenn. Mr. Rodes passed away on Nov. 19, 2017, at Bailey Manor.
Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Lolaine "Lainey" Meeker Rodes; daughters, Eva Gail Dahm (Mary Zadrozny) and Rebecca Rodes Dietrich (Roe); grandchildren, Aubrey Dietrich Generose (Philip) and Doug Dietrich (Kim Terrell); great-granddaughter, Raina Generose; and brother, James E. Rodes Jr. (Lois).
One brother, William "Bill" Rodes, preceded him in death.
Doug worked for 37 years at Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, The family lived in Marion.
