William "Bill" Reilly Cruise, 50, of Cedar Rapids, died April 28, 2016, at his home. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at Stonebridge Church by Pastor Randy Scheil and Pastor Robin Tyner. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home and after 10 a.m. on Monday at the church.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lisa Patterson; daughter, Allison Cruise of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Brian (Jamie) Cruise of Atkins and Jim (Julie) Cruise of Cedar Rapids; stepparents, Vivian Cruise (Bob) and Richard Monson (Lee Ann) of Cedar Rapids; father- and mother-in-law, Robert and Marlene Sirowy of Fairfax; stepchildren, Zach (Shawna) Patterson of Atkins, Brandi (Ibraheem) Ananzeh of Cedar Falls and Jessica Patterson (Ryan Kriner) of Center Point; nine grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was born Jan. 9, 1966, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Robert and Lee Ann (Reilly) Cruise. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1984. Bill married Lisa Patterson on July 25, 2015, in Cedar Rapids. He worked many years for The Gazette and Yellowbook/Hibu, and most recently at Adtrak.
Bill was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Cubs fan, and overall sports enthusiast. He was deeply passionate about Theatre Cedar Rapids and performed in several productions. He loved acting and singing, whether in church or karaoke, fishing, but above all, he loved spending time with his family the most.
