WILLIAM "BILL" VINCENT CORKERY

William "Bill" Vincent Corkery, 86, of Marion,
passed away peacefully Thursday, Sept. 21, 2017,
at his home. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Wadena.
Bill was born May 1, 1931, in Wadena, Iowa, the son of William and Nica (Fay) Corkery. He graduated from Wadena High School. Bill served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. On Oct. 1, 1957, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Bachman in Iowa City. Bill was employed with Rockwell in the tool and die
department until retiring in 1989.
Bill is survived by his wife, Marilyn; daughter, Cindy (Gary) Collins of Marion; sons, Blaine (Mary) Corkery of Marion and Bradford (Sharon) Corkery of Coggon; grandchildren, Jillian, Christiana, Amanda, Amber, Stephanie, Brandon, Brea, Tanya, Tara, Justin and Heather; several great-grandchildren; and brothers, Charles Corkery of Manchester, Ellis Corkery of Lisbon, Paul (Beverly) Corkery of Dysart, Steve (Kathy) Corkery of Wadena and Tim Corkery of West Union.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Jeanne, JoAnne, Jane and Barbara.
