WILLIAM BRADLEY

William Bradley, 89, of Mission, Texas, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Friday, March 30, 2018, at McAllen Medical Center. A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. May 19 at Haven Community Church, Highway E64, Chelsea. Charles Johnson
will officiate.
He was born Jan. 29, 1929, in Des Moines, the son of Lucille Iva (Dietz) and Ralph William Bradley. He married Grace Elaine Raley on Jan. 22, 1955, in Cedar Rapids. He retired after 35 years from Downing Box/Longview Fiber in 1991.
He worked hard to support his family and rarely complained. He laughed heartily and always encouraged his children to show no fear, always have fun and face the day with cheer.
Survivors include his wife, Grace Elaine (Raley) Bradley; children, Laurie Beasmore, Lucille (Allen) Vislisel, Lois Bradley (Pat Framke) and Martha (David) Wise; stepbrother, Vernon (Lela) Bradley; sisters, Marilyn Horn and Shirley (Don) Stentz; grandchildren, Tanisha (Mohammed) Alterbal, Andrew (Megan) Beasmore, Nichole Vislisel, Nathan (Lauren) Vislisel, Julie and Rachael Wise; five great-grandchildren, Ameena, Samawah and Nor Alterbal, and Emerick and Olivia Vislisel.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille Iva Dietz; father, Ralph William Bradley; brothers, Ralph William and Boyd Bradley; son, David Cecil Bradley; and foster parents, Harold and Emagene Krause.
