William L. "Bill" Blough, 69, of Iowa City, died Saturday, June 6, 2015, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, where visitation will begin at 5 p.m. and continue following the services. Private family graveside services will be held later at Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Bill's memory to the Johnson County Humane Society.

Bill was born Jan. 15, 1946, in Fairfield, Iowa, the son of John D. and Beulah M. (Stewart) Blough. Growing up in Fairfield he attended schools there, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1964. He attended the University of Iowa and then returned to Fairfield to graduate with the last class at Parsons College with a degree in business. He made a career in the cable industry, working in a number of different cities, settling in Iowa City in 1979.
He enjoyed many things in life, including gardening, mushroom hunting, fishing, golfing, playing pool, bowling, playing cards and traveling, but near and dear to him were his family, friends and his dogs!
His family includes two daughters, Jammy Dinnel and Jessica Remley (Ben); grandchildren, Lauren, Ali, Sami, Lex and Jordyn; sisters, Joyce Orte (Marv) and JoAnn Deatsch; former wife, Denise Blough; several nieces and nephews; and his golden retriever, Gus.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Margaret.
