William “Bill” Vrba, 77, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on March 11, 2024. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 16 at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home beginning at 1:00 PM. A visitation will take place prior, from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM. Burial will take place at Czech National Cemetery.
Bill was a Cedar Rapids postal carrier for 38 years. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing, baseball, carving wooden songbirds, and gardening. He and Mary Kay would have been married 50 years in May.
Preceded in death are his parents Wilmer and Alice Vrba; Brother Michael; nephew John (Maxine) Vrba; and in laws Vincent and Mary Hachmann.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay Hachmann Vrba; Son Scott Vrba; Grandchildren Cami and Vinny Vrba; Sister-in-law Chris Vrba; Brother-in-law Robert (Candy) Hachmann; Nephew Mike (Bonnie) Vrba; Nieces Danelle Vrba, Amanda (Derek) Klinkenborg, Monique (J.J) Butcher, and Sherry (Paul) Meyer; and best friend Ron Tack.
