Bill L. Mantor went home to Jesus Christ on Jan. 18, 2023. He was born March 4, 1950, here in Cedar Rapids. He attended Kennedy High School, then later went to Kirkwood. He also did some time in the Navy. He met Karen Teel in 1993. They had a daughter together. He also raised her other two children. Bill loved watching The Green Bay Packers and always wore a hat to support them. He enjoyed pro wrestling and had a great sense of humor. He also loved classic cars, classic films such as The Three Stooges, Westerns with Clint Eastwood and action films with Chuck Norris. He will be missed by everyone who knew him. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Marcella Mantor; brother, Richard Mantor; sister, Linda Jones; brother-in-law, Phillip Buelow; and brother, Donald Mantor.
Bill is survived by his longtime companion Karen Teel, Shauna (Derek) Curtis, Elvis (Dana) Teel, Lisa (Clint) Walker. Amelia, Kimberly, Peyton, Ripley Curtis, Clint Jr., Lilly and Cheyanne Walker, sister, Mary Buelow; brother-in-law, Richard Jones; and many nieces and nephews. He was cremated already and a memorial service will be held in May for the family.
