WILLIAM "BILL" HALL JR.

William "Bill" Hall Jr., 72, of Cedar Rapids and formerly of Central City, died peacefully Monday, April 24, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. Services will be held at Central City First United Methodist Church, Central City, Iowa, on Monday, June 5, at 11 a.m. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Bill was born on Sept. 7, 1944, the son of William and Betty (Eilers) Hall. He graduated from Central City High School and then went on to obtain his cosmetology license at the Paris House of Beauty. Bill married Twyla Clements in 1965; they later divorced. In 1975, Bill moved his family to Cedar Rapids where he opened Bill Hall & Co. Bill loved the water and the sun and enjoyed boating and gardening.
Bill is survived by his son, Tyler Hall; daughter, Billie-Sue Riley; brother, Owen (Cork) Hall; sister, Mary (Bill) Berry; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Al Hall; and his parents.
A memorial fund has been established in Bill's memory.
