Bill Ehrenfelt 90 of Wellman, Iowa passed away Sunday December 29, 2024, at his home with his life partner by his side.
He was born August 6, 1934, to James Russell and Lavanda Lanora Gingerich Ehrenfelt. Bill was a graduate of Wellman High School where he excelled in basketball and track.
He married Mary Lee Quinn. He and Mary Lee had four children Brian, Neal, Bradley and Kate. They later divorced.
Bill was co-owner of the Kalona and Wellman Ready Mix. Bill love and supported his community throughout his life. He built his dream home in 2000, Bill loved working and maintaining the property. Planting trees, mowing lots of mowing and trying to figure out the darn pond.
He is survived by his children Neal Ehrenfelt of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Bradley Ehrenfelt, of Wellman and Kate Miles of Jal, New Mexico and 7 grandchildren- Tylar Ehrenfelt, James Ehrenfelt, Devin Miles, Trace Miles, Rachel Miles, Parker and Hudson Ehrenfelt and 3 great grandchildren.
He is also survived by his life partner Barbara Aldeman of Wellman and her two children Clint (Morgan) Aldeman and family of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Abby Ballard and her son of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his brothers Larry, Jim and Kirk, son Brian Ehrenfelt and a grandson Bradley.
No services are scheduled at this time. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
