William Beringer, 87, of Cascade, died 1:44 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2014, peacefully surrounded by
his immediate family, at UnityPoint Health – Finley Hos-pital in Dubuque. Friends and relatives of Bill may call from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 6, at Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, where a prayer service will be at 12:30 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus rosary at 6 p.m. Services for Bill will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, at St. Martin's Catholic Church in Cascade, with the Rev. Douglas Loecke officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Cascade.
He is survived by his wife, Imelda, of Cascade; eight children, Linda (Laddie) Nachazel of Anamosa, Barb (Martin) Shafer of Coralville, Edna (Larry) Heiar of LaMotte, Bill Beringer Jr. of Cascade, Mary (Dan) Goedken of Petersburg, John (Sheila) Beringer of Cascade, Amy (Rick) Bergfeld of Peosta and Sandra Dotterweich of Monticello; 27 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters, Odie Boffeli of Cascade and Tecie (Jim) Lehmann of Iowa City; and sisters-in-law, Bernice Beringer of Farley and Edith Kedley of Dubuque.
