William A. Smith, 64, of Marengo, Iowa, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, April 29, 2018.
William was very honored to have served his country as a Marine. He was a long-time employee at Whirlpool, Amana. He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting and watching Bears and Cubs games.
He is survived by his daughter, Holly (John) Saldivar; grandchildren, Samantha and John; brothers, Paul Smith and Robert (Regi) Smith; sisters, Mary-Jane Boxwell and Julie (Mike) Struzynski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
William was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mary Smith; sister, Betty Hammon; and nephew, Marty Hammon.
Cremation services have been done by Celebrate Life Iowa, and his family will have a Celebration of Life at a later date.
