Willett, Shirley A.
Shirley A. Willett, 75, of Alburnett, died Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Services: 2 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Marion. Burial: Lafayette Cemetery, rural Alburnett.
Survivors include her husband, James; siblings, Ina McAmis of Greeneville, Tenn., and Fain (Grace) Reaves of Kinston, N.C.; brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Ann) Willett of Mechanicsville; sister-in-law, Mary Smith of Mechanicsville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Marvin, Jean, Claude and Juanita.
Shirley was born July 26, 1936, in Greeneville, Tenn., the daughter of Bourban and Nancy (Bishop) Reaves. She married James Willett on Oct. 26, 1960, in Lisbon, Iowa. Shirley worked with Rockwell Collins for 26 years, retiring in 1991.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy at 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233, in Shirley's memory.
