Willett, Helen V.
BROOKLYN - Helen V. Willett, 86, of Brooklyn, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2010, at the Grinnell Regional Hospital, Grinnell. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, at Grace United Methodist Church, Brooklyn, with the Rev. John Dodds officiating. Burial will be in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn.
Memorials may be contributed to the East Poweshiek County Ambulance.
Helen is survived by her husband of 45 years, Robert Willett; a son, Mack Purdum and wife Mary of Montezuma; and a granddaughter, Michelle Bartachek.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Skip Purdum in 1963; a son, Duane Purdum in 2001; and four brothers, Claire, Chester, Lloyd and Bob Simpson.
