Willenborg, Augie Christian David

Augie Christian David Willenborg, 18, of Cedar Rapids, was born the son of Kurt Willenborg and Carrie (Norton) Willenborg on Jan. 4, 1995. Augie was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church – Vilmar. He received his education at Prairie High School in Cedar Rapids.

Augie enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. He also loved skateboarding and fishing. Perhaps one of his greatest joys was hanging out with friends and family.

Augie died Saturday, June 8, 2013, at a friend's home in Clinton, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Wayne Vossberg.

Augie is survived by his mother, Carrie (Ron) Willenborg of Cedar Rapids; his father, Kurt (Erin) Willenborg of Cedar Rapids; one sister, Adri Willenborg of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Avery Graham of Cedar Rapids; maternal grandparents, Terry (Marilyn) Norton of Clarksville; paternal grandparents, Fred (Ruth) Willenborg of Arkansas; maternal great-grandmother, Olive Vossberg of Plainfield; maternal great-grandparents, James (Lelia) Norton of Clarksville; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 13, at Community United Methodist Church in Clarksville with burial in Horton Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Redman-Schwartz Funeral Home in Clarksville, (319)278-4245; and will continue for one hour before services Thursday at the church.
