Willard F. Lynch, 90, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Thursday, Jan. 22, 2015, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Visita-tion will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, with a visitation starting at 10 a.m., at Community of Christ Church, 1500 Blairs Ferry Rd., in Hiawatha. Pastors Roger and Sue Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Willard Faye Lynch was born Jan. 24, 1924, to Steve and Grace Bowen Lynch in Missouri. He was united in marriage to Beverly Pennington on Nov. 7, 1948, in Cedar Rapids; the couple spent 66 wonderful years together.
He enjoyed spending time and fishing at his son and daughter-in-law's cabin in Minnesota, playing cards, and was an avid sports fan. He loved being outdoors, gardening and spending time with his family.
Willard will be forever remembered as a loving husband, father, grand-father, great-grandfather and brother.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly; children, Linda Stigers of Allentown, Pa., Jeannie (Clark) Cogley of Des Moines, Lori Kaplan of Sussex, Wis., and Scott (Michelle) Lynch of Lakeville, Minn.; a sister, Geneva Ball of Las Vegas; a son-in-law, Gary Baughman of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Bret, Julie MD, Jennifer, Kim, Karie, Steven, Clayton, Jason, Kristi, Karla, Stephanie, Collin and Troy; and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Dixie Baughman.
