Willard J Goddard lll passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 18th, 2026. He was 74.
Bill was born in Cedar Rapids, IA. He graduated from Kennedy High School.
He served in the Navy for 4 years. After the Navy he married Debbie DeSotel and had their son, Douglas. They moved to Omaha, Arkansas where he worked for Pepsi and a cable company until he retired.
Bill loved the outdoors and shared that with his son Doug.
Bill and his brother Greg loved going fishing together rain or shine, hot or cold. They had many fishing weeks at Mark Twain Lake where they made lots of friends and came home with many fishing tales of their adventures. He was an avid gardener and mushroom hunter.
He loved going to Colorado to see his son Doug, his wife Sharon and granddaughter Cheyenne. They enjoyed hiking in the mountains and spending time together.
Bill will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his father Willard (Roberta) Goddard, sister Sue (Scott) Grim, and brother Greg (Jill) Goddard, all of C.R.; his son Doug (Sharon) Goddard of Colorado Springs; grandchildren Cheyenne, Dustin and Heather; great-grandchildren Karleigh, Baylee, Hunter, Austin, Hailey and his nephews Mike and Chris.
He was preceded in death by his mother Alyce and his sister Carol.
The family is having a memorial for him in March at his home in Omaha, Arkansas.
