Willard J. Ehrman, 91, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar
Rapids. Services: noon Friday, Aug. 15, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time on Friday. Burial, with military rites Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine, of Cedar Rapids; four daughters, Pat Mote, Christy (Greg) Klees and Sandy (Jack) Thompson, all of Cedar Rapids, and Barb (John) Gilbertson of Blairstown; two brothers, Harry (Katy) Ehrman of Amana and Lloyd (Evelyn) Ehrman of Brooklyn Center, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Eddie; and sister, Irene.
Willard was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Ladora, Iowa, son of Edward and Elise (Dickel) Ehrman. He graduated from Amana High School in 1940. Willard served in the United States Coast Guard during World War II. On Sept. 3, 1949, he was married to Lorraine McMahon at Immaculate Conception Church in Cedar Rapids by Monsignor Malloy. Willard worked for Wilson Foods for 42 years. He was a member of the Cedar Rapids VFW Post 788.
