Wilhelm, Sharon Faye
Sharon Faye Wilhelm died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Regional Medical Center in Manchester. Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 8, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester by the Rev. David Weber. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 7, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Manchester. Additional visitation is one hour before services at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be at Forestville Cemetery, Dundee.
Sharon was born Feb. 14, 1939, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Olga (Chehak) Staskal. She graduated from St. Wenceslaus School in Cedar Rapids in 1956. On Sept. 6, 1968, Sharon was united in marriage to Ronald D. Wilhelm in Galena, Ill. The couple lived in Manchester until 1996, when they moved to Dundee. Sharon was assistant manager of AVCO Financial Services in Oelwein.
Sharon was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Manchester.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Ronald Wilhelm of Manchester; a son, Russell R. Sebetka of Walker; three stepchildren, Pam (Dan) Caffrey of Indianola, Cindy (Kirt) Walker of Columbus, Ohio and Denise Wilhelm of Medford, NJ; a granddaughter, Kelly; seven stepgrandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kirsten, Rahney, Bailey, Grace, MacKenzie and Abigail; a great-granddaughter, Jacey; and a brother-in-law, Leonard Dolezal.
Sharon was preceded in death by a stepson, Ron Wilhelm Jr.; and a sister, Evelyn Dolezal.
Memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
