Wilfred Lloyd McCreedy, 81, of Washington, formerly of Ainsworth, passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 3, 2015, at the Halcyon House in Washington. A celebration of life service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 8, at the United Methodist Church in Washington, with Pastor Darryl Carr officiating. Calling hours will begin 11 a.m. Sunday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington, where the family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday. Interment, with military honors, will take place at Oregon Township Cemetery, Ainsworth.
Memorials have been established for the United Methodist Church or the Swine Department of the Washington County Fair.

He is survived by his wife, Karen McCreedy of Washington; son, Gary McCreedy of Ainsworth; son, Dale McCreedy of Anamosa; daughter, Jill Hubbard and husband Tony of Washington; daughter, Nancy McCreedy of Washington; and two grandsons, Colton and Garrett Covington of Washington.
