Wild, Lynda L.
Lynda L. Wild, 70, of Clear Lake, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sept. 26, 2012, at Opportunity Village following a short illness. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Chapel Garden section. The Rev. Beth Mary Harbaugh of St. James United Methodist Church will officiate. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Surviving are her sister, Pat McDowell of Cedar Rapids; niece, Amy Wise; nephew, Brian Wise and wife Carrie; great-nephews, Blake, Alex, Joshua, Zakk and Quinn; as well as many cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Bud McDowell; and nephew, John E. Wise III.
Lynda was born June 9, 1942, in Chicago Heights, Ill., the daughter of Robert L. and Janice L. (Larson) Wild. She was raised in Cedar Rapids and attended St. James United Methodist Church. In 1972, she later moved to Clear Lake, where she enjoyed her many friends and the staff at Opportunity Village. She enjoyed visits with her mother and her friends at the Cedars Apartments in Cedar Rapids, where they would play bingo and cards and enjoy great food together.
Lynda's family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Opportunity Village for their love, compassion and friendship extended to Lynda and her family over the last 30 years.
