Wilbert P. Stolte, 93, died Sunday, April 20, 2014, in the Clarence Nursing Home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 24, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, with the Rev. Victor Young officiating. Burial: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include sons, Steve (Bonnie) of Robins, Robert of Clarence and Jeff of Daytona Beach, Fla.; grandchildren, Sara (Jeff) Hennings and Marc (Merideth) Stolte; great-grandchildren, Shelby and Jeremiah Hennings and Adriana and Nathan Stolte; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Mathilda; and brothers, Elmer and Edwin.
Wilbert was born Dec. 29, 1920, in Lowden, to Paul and Anna Meier Stolte. He married Allison Rix on Dec. 30, 1945, in Lowden. She died Nov. 27, 1991.
Wilbert was a former member of the Dayton Creamery board and Clarence Community School board. He was also a former church elder.
