Wiese, Pahl A.
Pahl A. Wiese, 89, of Independence, died Friday, March 19, 2010, at West Village Care Center following a long illness. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence, with Pastor Tom Jones officiating. Burial will be in Wilson Cemetery. Friends may call for visitation from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at White Funeral Home in Independence.
Mr. Wiese is survived by one son, Richard (Marcia) Wiese of Rowley; one daughter, Susan (Doug) Schmidgall of Prescott, Ariz.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi, in 2004; and one daughter, Sandra Wiese.
He was born Jan. 4, 1921, in Stanwood, Iowa, the son of Arnold and Elsie Carie (Pahl) Wiese. On Nov. 22, 1942, he and the former Naomi Ruth Postel were married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence.
