Wiebbecke, Delores M.
Delores M. Wiebbecke, 76, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Vinton, died Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hopsice House of Mercy in Hiawatha following an extended illness. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, 212 E. Sixth St., Vinton. Private committal services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Vinton.
Delores was born June 6, 1935, in Vinton, to Charles and Merle (Dulin) Johnson. On July 3, 1953, she married Duane Wiebbecke in Cedar Rapids. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2001. Before her retirement she was an inspector at Rockwell Collins.
She is survived by her sons, David Wiebbecke of Vinton and Douglas Wiebbecke of Cedar Rapids; her daughter, Deb Wiebbecke of Cedar Rapids; her grandchildren, Brandon “Squirt,” Missy and Cody; her great-grandchild, Aliyah; and her sister, Karen (Warren) Hobbs of Cedar Rapids.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one grandchild.
