Wharton, Elizabeth A.
Elizabeth A. Wharton, 84, of 5041 Gordon Ave. NW, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness. Graveside services: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Per Elizabeth's request there will be no visitation. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two sons, Bob of Cedar Rapids and John (Pam) of Keystone; and two grandsons, Josh and Matthew.
Elizabeth was born April 23, 1928, in Amberg, Germany, the daughter of John and Margaret Lehmeyer Kurzendorfer. She married Charles L. Wharton on May 8, 1954, in Aschaffenburg, Germany. Elizabeth was a homemaker.
Memorial donations may be given to Camp Courageous.
