Westcott, Chet Paul
Chet Paul Westcott, 63, passed away July 3, 2013, at home surrounded by family. Visitation: 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 7, at Lahey Funeral Home. Potluck-luncheon: Sportsman Den, Oxford Junction.
Chet was born Dec. 18, 1949, at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton to Chet and Leta Mae (Worthen) Westcott. He married Debra McFarland on Aug. 25, 1973, in Vinton.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; sons, Harold and fiancee Jessica Hines of Oxford Junction and Joseph R. and girlfriend Teri McGillan of Baldwin; three grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; brother, Larry Westcott of La Porte City; four sisters, Erma Jones of Vinton, Wanda (Gary) Kaiser of Cedar Rapids, Susan (Francis) Bawden of Mount Auburn and Ruth (Terry) Becker of Urbana; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; stepson, Dean McFarland Uthoff; and brother-in-law, Jim Scott.
Chet loved camping, boating and fishing at 6 B's Campground, and his dog Sparky.
Memorials may be sent to Lahey Funeral Home to help with expenses.
