Roger P. Wernke, 81, of Holy Cross, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at his home, where he was born. Friends may call from 3 until 8 p.m. Thursday, May 19, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross, where a parish Scripture service will be held at 3 p.m., parish rosary recited at 5 p.m. and VFW Post 7736 will gather at 7 p.m. Visitation also will be held from 9 until 10 a.m. Friday, May 20, at Kramer Funeral Home in Holy Cross. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Holy Cross Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at the church cemetery.
