Wenger, Michael W. 'Spanky'
Michael W. ”Spanky” Wenger, 45, of Masonville, died Monday, June 4, 2012, from injuries suffered in an ultralight accident near Manchester. Mass of Resurrection: 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ryan, by the Rev. John Flaherty. Interment: Calvary Cemetery, Ryan. Visitation: 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home & Crematory in Manchester, with a 2 p.m. Scripture service, and one hour before the service on Friday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Pamela Wenger of Masonville; three sons, Justin, Matt and Will, all of rural Masonville; his parents, William and Bonnie Wenger of Ryan; maternal grandmother, Deloras Kauffman of Independence; five siblings, Barb (Darrell) Schaff of Sibley, Nancy (Robert) Portillo of Rolling Meadow, Ill., Jim (Sharri) Wenger of Masonville, Bob (Teri) Wenger of Walker and Brian (Deb) Wenger of Masonville; his father-and-mother-in-law, Frank and Shirley Talmadge of Ryan; one sister-in-law, Shirley Such of Milford, Conn.; one brother-in-law, Frank (Shae) Talmadge of Aylett, Va.; his farming partner, Mark (Joyce) Schlueter of Ryan; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Gilbert and Irene Wenger; his maternal grandfather, Doyle Kauffman; and one nephew, Joshua Wenger.
