Vincent Eugene “Gene” Welsh was baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Friday, April 9, 2010. Services: funeral from Ortmann-Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., St. Louis, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, to St. Joseph Church, St. Louis, for 10 a.m. Mass. Interment: private. Visitation: 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
He was the beloved husband of the late Vera C. Welsh (nee Kreis); dear father and father-in-law of Kathleen (Frank) Van Steenhuyse of Vinton, Iowa, Michael (Jill) Welsh, Mary (Bob) Roman, Daniel (Lori) Welsh and Shaun (Jenell) Welsh, all of St. Louis, Mo., Kevin (Kaori) Welsh of Anthem, Ariz., and Gene (Joanne) Welsh of Chicago; dear grandfather of Todd (Jenn), Kate (Ryan), Mark (Abby), Anne, Susie, Katie, Chelsey, Caitlyn, Shanna, Kristyn, Haley, Mason, Sophie, Jake and Colin; dear great-grandfather of Conor Daniel; dear brother of the late Anne Marie Welsh; and our dear brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend.
