Welsh, Dale
Dale Welsh died Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City at the age of 83 years. He was born June 14, 1929, near Williamsburg, Iowa, the son of Glenn and Florence (Dall) Welsh. He graduated from Williamsburg High School. Dale was united in marriage to Arlene Osmundson on June 26, 1949, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. Dale owned and operated ACE Electronics for many years, retiring in the early 90s. He enjoyed traveling throughout the world, taking pictures and talking with friends and family. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Williamsburg.
He is survived by five children, Nicki Marthe of Williamsburg, Debbie Welsh of Cedar Rapids, Steven Welsh of Tucson, Ariz., Dalene Roher of Williamsburg and Jeffrey Welsh of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Arlene; a grandson, Bradly Beilstein; and a great-granddaughter, Attison.
Celebration of Life Service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Williamsburg. Pastor Kip Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in Pilot Grove Cemetery near Williamsburg. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
