Weldon, Harold James

Harold James Weldon, 77, of Parnell, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, North English. Military honors will follow the service. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Inurnment will be at a later date at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Parnell. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.

Harold is survived by two sons, Greg and Paul (Jennifer), both of Parnell; two daughters, Patti Schropp (Larry) of Parnell and Joan Sieren (Jeff) of Wellman; five grandchildren, Sara and Jeremy Schropp, Stacie White and Kate and Jacob Weldon; a great-grandson, Logan White; a brother, Clement (Audrey) of North English; and a sister, Rita Murphy of Parnell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna (Cain) Weldon; his wife, Marjorie in 2008; two brothers, John and Dean; and a sister, Margaret Hanson.

Memorials may be contributed to St. Joseph's Cemetery Fund or the charity of the donor's choice.
