Welden W. “Butch” Reiten, 75, of Coralville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Dec. 20, 2022, at UIHC, Iowa City.
Butch is survived by his daughter Tracy (Chad Kron) of Tiffin, Iowa; his son Andrew (Nichole) of Metamora, Ill., and son Nicholas (Amber) of North Liberty, Iowa; grandchildren, Elaina, Jonah, Welden, Jack, Abel, Milo and Rowen Reiten; grand dogs, Stella and Slinky Reiten; and beloved cat Clark Reiten. Butch also is survived by his brother, Jerry (Addie) Reiten of Minnesota and numerous extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, cousins, aunts, uncles and many beloved pets.
A celebration of Butch’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 21 at Lensing’s Oak Hill, Coralville. In honor of Butch, if you do attend his celebration of life, we encourage you to wear your favorite sports gear. Do not feel the need to dress up, he wouldn’t want you to. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed toward the Friends of the Animal Center Foundation.
