Weepie, Faustine 'Tina'
Faustine “Tina” Weepie, 80, passed away Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Oldorf Hospice House in Hiawatha. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 9, at St. Matthew Catholic Church with visitation one hour before the mass.
Tina was born April 15, 1933, to Joseph and Eleanor (Menke) Rueter in Salem, Iowa. On Sept. 6, 1958, Tina married Charlie Weepie in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Tina is survived by her husband; children, Jean (Bob) Beer, Margaret Weepie and Michael Weepie, all of Cedar Rapids, and Brian (Angela) Weepie of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Stephanie (Reid) DeSotel, Megan Beer and Jason Beer of Cedar Rapids, and Ella Weepie and Alyssa Weepie of Fernandina Beach, Fla.; and sisters, Irene O'Connor and Cathy Boddicker, both of Cedar Rapids.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Bill and Carl Rueter.
Tina was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, volunteering and playing cards.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Camp Courageous of Iowa and Loras College.
