Wedo, Arthur D.
Arthur D. Wedo, 81, of Urbana, died Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at Crestview Acres, Marion. Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, April 1, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Interment will immediately follow at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the chapel.
Arthur Dean Wedo was born March 27, 1932, to Benjamin and Ellen (Steele) Wedo in Clermont, Iowa. Arthur married Darlene Harrison on May 30, 1952, in Rowley, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Darlene; three grandsons, Ben (Amanda) Wedo of Center Point, Brad (Lindsay) Wedo of Urbana and BJ (Ashley) Wedo of Des Moines; three great-grandsons, Brian, Jordan and Kellen Wedo; daughter in-law, Laura (Jimmy) Shelley of Des Moines; two sisters, Delores Evans and Lorraine (Chuck) Baker; two brothers-in-law, Dennis Pyle and Mike Wheeler; and two sisters-in-law, Jeanette and Joyce Wedo.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert; his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
