Weber, Michael Phillip
Michael Phillip Weber, 60, of Cedar Rapids, died at home Sunday, Dec. 22, 2013. Funeral Service: 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 27, at Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids, by Deacon Mike Klappholz. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial: St. John's Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Marla; mother, Phyllis Weber; children, Marshall (Megan) Weber and Michelle Winger; siblings, Sandy (Dick) Helm, Cindy Weber, Carol (Vince) Seybert, Janet Weber, Kim (Chuck) Graham and Joseph (Karen) Weber; and four grandchildren, Jacob, Megan and Lindsey Winger and Lilly Weber.
Also surviving are his mother-in-law, Ilene Powell; and sister-in-law, Sharon Weber.
Mike was born Sept. 9, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Donald and Phyllis (Morningstar) Weber. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971. On April 29, 1972, he married Marla Powell in Cedar Rapids. Mike worked 26 years for Lefebure, followed by Penford Products and the Airport Shuttle Service.
He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. Mike enjoyed coaching girls volleyball and basketball and boys basketball at All Saints School. He also was an avid 16-inch softball player and won many championships over the years.
Mike's greatest passion was for his grandchildren. He valued his time with them and was always insistent one of them stay-over every night. All of his family and friends will greatly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald; and brothers, Ronald and Thomas Weber.

The family extends a special thank you to the St. Luke's Heart Failure Clinic and Dr. Richard Kettelkamp for their care and compassion during Mike's illness.
