Weber, Agnes
Agnes Weber, 83, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2013, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Funeral services will be held at noon Thursday, Oct. 17, at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Hopkinton, with interment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monticello. Friends may call after 10 a.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Goettsch Funeral Home, Monticello, is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be made in Agnes's name to be used for domestic abuse prevention and aid in Delaware County.
Surviving is her husband of 64 years, Gerald; four children, Ronald Weber (Cindy), Hopkinton, Gary Weber (LuAnn), Monticello, David Weber (Joyce), Mount Vernon and Karla Flannagan (Mark), Hiawatha; nine grandchildren, Kevin (Jill) Weber, Kimberly (Todd) Bormann, Kurt (Macy) Weber, Mindy (Ben) Capron, Shawn (Christina) Weber, Leah Weber, Kelly Weber, Cory (Sara) Flannagan and Kara (John) Flack; several stepgrandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; a sister, Betty (Eugene) Krapfl, Earlville; a brother, Frank (Joyce) Naber, Dyersville; her sister-in-law, Luella (Duane Jr.) DeShaw, Hopkinton; a brother-in-law, Delbert (Colleen) Weber, Monticello; and a special friend, Randy Clark, Monticello.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Weber; her parents, Clement and Ellanora Naber; four sisters, Mae Schaffer, Jeanette Boge, Jane McGrane and Mary Weber; a brother, Henry Naber; and four half siblings.
Agnes Naber was born May 19, 1930, at Dyersville, Iowa. She was the daughter of Clement and Ellanora Kramer Naber. Agnes received her education St Francis of Xavier School in Dyersville, later worked as a hired girl for several families.
Agnes Naber and Gerald Arthur Weber were married Sept. 20,1949, at St Francis Basilica, Dyersville. They farmed in Coggon, Iowa, for one year, then moved to their farm northwest of Sand Springs, Iowa. Agnes was very involved in the farming operations, you would often catch her singing a song while she worked. She also enjoyed crocheting, ceramics and spoiling her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
