Wayne C. McIntyre, 81, of Santee, Calif., formerly of
Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully at home on Oct. 1, 2016.
He is survived by his wife, Carmen; former wife and the mother of his children, Charlene McIntyre; sister, Evelyn Roths (Merle); Glenys (Jerry), and children, David, Kevin, Daniel (Jeovanna), Diane (Jeff) and Kathy (Gerard), along with a host of grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Wayne was born May 10, 1935, in Vinton, Iowa, to Elmer and Stella McIntyre. He was in sales most of his life. He and Carmen owned and operated "Mom's House," an elder-care facility in Santee that Wayne started in the early 1990s to take care of his mother.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; former spouse, Ginny; uncle, Jesse and aunt, Adaline; brothers, Vernon, Dean and his twin brother, Darrell; and his cousin Bryson, who was like a brother to him.
