Wayne Collin Gerdts, 82, passed away in Marion, Iowa, on Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.
Per family request, there will be no services at this time.
Wayne was born on May 20, 1940, in Davenport, Iowa. He was the son of the late Walter and Vivian (Park) Lulow. On May 6, 1963, Wayne married the love of his life, Nada Stull, in Maquoketa, Iowa. He was a veteran in the U.S. Army and an electronics technician for R.D.S. for several years before his retirement.
Those left to cherish Wayne’s memory are his daughters, Debra (Scott) McCright and Cathy (Dean) Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; his grandchildren, Brandon, Brycen, Jordon, Jade and Jakob; and his siblings, Dale Gerdts, and Linda Barkhoff.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nada; his parents; and a brother, Warren.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at UnityPoint Hospice and Linn Manor Care Center for all the love and care they showed Wayne while he was in their care.
