Wayne A. Quinby, 83, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, March 11, 2018, at Manor Care. Services: 11 a.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial with military rites: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Survivors include four sons, Randy (Cindy) of Arizona, Rick of Missouri, and Scott (Laveda) and Craig, all of Cedar Rapids; and a daughter, Stacy (Jason) Ritzal of Cedar Rapids. He also is survived by eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Virginia; wife, Diana; two brothers, Mike and Bob; and a grandchild, Alexa.
Wayne was born on May 30, 1934, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Harry and Virginia Quinby. He married Diana L. Knaack on March 21, 1954, in Cedar Rapids. Diana passed away in 2008.
Wayne was a supervisor at Harnishfeger for over 25 years, and later worked at Cedar Rapids Inc. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Wayne enjoyed gardening, especially tending to his flowers, hunting, fishing and spending time with his friends and beloved family.
