Wauters, Wayne Allan
Wayne Allan Wauters, 53, of Keystone, died Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton following a sudden illness. A Mass of Christian Burial: 10 a.m. Friday at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Belle Plaine, with the Rev. Michael Mescher and Deacon Joe Behounek presiding. Burial: Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Blairstown. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church where there will be a Rosary at 7:30 p.m.

Wayne was born April 6, 1956, in Belle Plaine to Raymond and Margaret Boudonck Wauters. He graduated from Benton Community and was a self-employed trucker for 35 years. He married Kimberly Kaye Stults on Sept. 16, 1978, at St. John's Catholic Church in Blairstown. He spent several years coaching girls softball and boys baseball. He loved baseball so much that he wanted all children to love it, no matter how good they were. He also spent several years coaching boys basketball. He loved his family first.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Keystone; sons, Wes (Trista) of Blairstown, Nick of Atkins, and Jake of Cedar Rapids; daughter, Jessica (Damian) Andrew of Blairstown; mother, Margaret Wauters of Belle Plaine; brothers, Charles (Marcia) of Keystone, Kenneth of Marengo, and Dallan (Leona) of Marion; grandchildren, Lane and Margaret Wauters and Maci Andrew; godchildren, Hilary Stults, Ethan Albers, Zak Wauters and Nicole Rhea. He is also survived by his in-laws, James and Nancy Stults, Sr.; brothers-in-law, James (Lynette) Stults, Michael (Jan) Stults, and Paul (Sherri) Stults; several nieces and nephews; cousins, aunts and uncles; and many really great friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond; nephew Cody Ray Stults; and all of his grandparents.
