Waterbeck, Lillian
Lillian Waterbeck, 91, died Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at the Belle Plaine Nursing and Rehab Center from complications of age. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 25, at Hrabak Funeral Home in Belle Plaine, by the Rev. Jack Andrews. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lillian was born Sept. 18, 1919, in Elberon, Iowa, to Frank and Christina (Raymon) Karkosh. She married Leonard Waterbeck on Nov. 24, 1941. Lillian was a homemaker and was active in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
She is survived by a son, Dennis (Mari Jeanne) Waterbeck of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Carol Waterbeck (David Urban) of Seattle, Wash.; sisters, Helen Hruby of Toledo and Vera Hruby of Tama; brother-in-law, Walter Waterbeck of Cedar Rapids; and sisters-in-law, Frances Snyder of Cedar Rapids and Isabelle Waterbeck of Grinnell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard in 1997; a brother, Louis Karkosh; and a sister, Mildred Cizek.
