Warren K. Chadima, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Cedar Memorial Chapel, with a service immediately following at 1 p.m. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Warren, the son of George Chadima and Gladys Charipar, was born on Oct. 9, 1938. He graduated from Franklin High School, where he met his wife, Joan Nagel. They wed on July 15, 1961, and were married for 61 years.
Warren graduated from the University of Iowa and the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. He practiced dentistry in Cedar Rapids until 2004. He especially enjoyed canoeing, fishing, model airplanes, traveling and his family.
Warren is survived by his wife, Joan; daughters, Laura Chadima-Beer (Jeff Beer) and Ann Charles (Brian); and grandchildren, Kay Beer, Lauren Beer, Jack Charles and Emily Charles.
Memorials may be directed to First Presbyterian Church and the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
Our dad made friends wherever he went this last year. The family would especially like to thank everyone who befriended him during his brief stay at Prairie Hills Assisted Living, the Mercy Hospital ICU staff and the staff of the Oldorf Hospice House, all of whom made this journey more bearable for each of us.
